Yelp Reviews

Google Reviews

After reading through countless Yelp Reviews, Google Reviews, and Facebook Comments on Posts in local Moms Groups, it is clear that Rancho Springs Hospital is one of two most preferred Hospitals in the area to give birth!  There are plenty of recent positive Reviews praising the Nurses, the Rooms, and the overall Birth Experience. The majority of negative reviews tend to be from years ago, although there are a few that are recent, and had to do with the Hospital’s ER department or the Nurses, with some also complaining about old or dirty rooms/bathrooms. Do your research and never be afraid to advocate for yourself!

Positive Reviews:

2025 (Google): “Amazing labor and delivery nurses. Bree and Paula are phenomenal and I cannot sing their praises enough. Not only did they take care of me and my unborn child during a vulnerable time, they took care of my husband and son along the way making sure that everyone was comfortable and cared for. We had a great delivery and the postpartum team didn’t delay either. We were able to be discharged in a timely manner with great education and our follow ups scheduled.”

2025 (Yelp): “From the labor and delivery room to the postpartum room, every nurse and doctor was outstanding. I felt I was in good hands. The nurses were quick to respond to my needs. They all were very kind and showed compassion during my stay.”

2025 (Google): “I am so grateful for Rancho Springs Hospital. The nurses here are incredible I got the best nurses and am so grateful for every single one. Postpartum nurses were incredible. The doctors are outstanding. The NICU here is incredible. Even the cleaning staff goes above and beyond. This hospital is 20 stars out of 10. Best hospital to give birth at I highly recommend coming here if you live in Riverside County. You will not be disappointed.
Thank you Rancho Springs and thank you to:
Jessica from HR
Nina the Director
Dr. Pruitt
Dr. Johnson
Dr. Shein
RN nurses: Brittany (day nurse), Becca, Andrea, Elly, Nida, Shirley, Meghan and many more!
NICU Doctor: Dr song is outstanding!”

2025 (Google): “We had an amazing experience during the birth of our third child. After reading some mixed reviews, we were a bit unsure, but the care we received was outstanding—far better than our previous experiences at other hospitals like Kaiser and Hoag, and those were very good, too.  The labor team (Traci, Stephanie, and Meghan) made us feel at ease from the start, and their kindness and attention made all the difference. The postpartum staff (Danielle, Susan, Lorri, and Michele) were equally fantastic, offering support and helpful advice throughout. We were also pleasantly surprised when an executive stopped by to check on us, which felt like a thoughtful touch. Special thanks to Charet from the nursery, who took great care of our newborn. Even had a nice chat with our birth certificate processor - a sweet Scottish woman who's name I just didn't write down.  For the Dads: pull out couch is pretty comfortable, but bring your own pillow. They don't serve food for guests, but there's lots of options very close by.  A great experience and stay, over all.”

2024 (FB): “Delivered all 3 of my babies at Rancho and loved my experience each time! With my first baby, my baby’s heart rate started dropping and within seconds 6 nurses were in the room helping me. And with my 2nd and 3rd, my labor was super quick. Everyone was helping get me into a room, hooked up and situated so quickly! Nothing but great things at Rancho Springs for me! All 3 deliveries have been within the last 5 years as well, September 2024 was the most recent!”

2024 (Google): “I gave birth to my 2nd baby at Rancho’s Birthing Center a couple months ago. At first, I was reluctant to give birth here since I had given birth at another hospital nearby with my 1st baby but the care I received here was incredible and I had a much better experience here. The L&D nurses were all so sweet and went above and beyond to ensure I got the VBAC I desired safely. The postpartum care was also amazing and they have the best "mama drink" for after.”

2023 (FB): “Want to share my experience delivering at Rancho Springs: I was nervous because of all the negative delivery experiences at Rancho Springs I’ve read on this Facebook page. My son was born on 9/11. This was my 4th delivery experience, but the best hospital experience of them all. Every single nurse was fantastic, listened, advocated for us, and worked as a coordinated team. I was given Pitocin, but when I reached the point that I wanted an epidural the anesthesiologist was stuck in the OR. At a previous hospital I delivered at, the nurse told me there was nothing she could do and I would have to wait, but at Rancho my nurse actually listened, cared and turned off my Pitocin to let my body take over till I could get the epidural. When the epidural completely wore off, she once again listened, advocated for me and called the anesthesiologist to give me a bolus. It was not an easy delivery, he had a cord wrap, was stunned, but the nurse called the ALS (Advance Life Saving) Team in there before he was even fully delivered to grab him and give him oxygen immediately. On the recovery side: when I was sleeping my nurse would wave off tests to come back later so I could actually sleep, one nurse even offered to take my son for a couple hours when it wasn’t busy. Everyone one of my calls was answered, I got checked on regularly, and sure the food is cafeteria food but they give you plenty of options. It was the first time I actually wanted to stay one more night instead of rushing back home. If there are any Labor and Delivery Nurses on here that took care of us: Thank you! I will never forget how you made what could have been a traumatic experience one that made us feel loved and cared for.”

2023 (FB): “I'm a high-risk Mama and I've had scares that brought me to Rancho Springs throughout my pregnancy and I really like the way they treat me. I'm about to be induced at this Hospital on Wednesday. I did a tour already! I have a birth plan ready and made lots of copies. They told me that baby never has to leave my room for anything. Everyone's experiences are going to be different. I read a lot of negative experiences about Rancho but I haven't had those experiences myself. I'm getting my tubes tied the day after my induction also.”

2023 (FB): “I have had 5 babies at Rancho Springs. Each labor has been different but overall great experiences. I only had one nurse during my second delivery who was extremely rude but everyone else has been amazing.”

2023 (FB): “I delivered at Rancho Springs Hospital and it was a fantastic experience! The nurses were absolutely amazing, I felt heard, and the food was even edible.”

2021 (Yelp): “Very clean hospital with a caring staff. Their labor and delivery team are top notch. Shout out to Nina and Hana. They were my favorite nurses. Very caring with amazing bedside manner. They both made me feel like they cared about me and my baby. I feel they both went above and beyond what was expected.”

2021 (Yelp): “I had never been to Rancho Springs Hospital before. I had heard mixed reviews from different people about their labor and delivery experiences. I did not have a choice but to go here because this is where my Dr. delivers babies. I had a scheduled C-Section and the whole process from start to finish was as smooth as could be. The nurses were all great. A specific shoutout to Gina the anesthesiologist. Her warm demeanor eased my anxious brain as I was going into my surgery. I made notes of all the nurses in my phone before I left the hospital. So, thank you Jessica, Kim S., Malia and last but not least Julieanne!! You ladies are amazing and I thank you all and the staff for taking such good care of myself and my baby. Whenever I needed something you all were there and so helpful. Thank you for making my birthing experience a very positive one!”

2020 (FB): “Rancho springs spent 26 days in NICU in 2020 and best experience and caring nurses I could have.”

Negative Reviews:

2025 (Yelp): “Absolute joke of an ER, my wife (22 weeks pregnant) was in excruciating pain and it was very obvious so you would think they might have tried to help a little. But instead, we were placed in the waiting room from 4:40 to 9:30, we were told they forgot about us, and that that whole time we were waiting there we should have been up in labor and delivery. Absolute clowns and they should be investigated.”

2025 (Google): “My wife gave birth here about a week ago and honestly the experience was less than mediocre at best. The nurses were really judgmental, my daughter didn’t want to latch and she wasn’t eating despite us bringing these concerns to them they insisted to keep trying despite my daughter crying and crying. We tried everything but they were no help. Debi the lactation consultant was very rude and didn’t bother knocking, she just let herself in, then she was inconsiderate to my sleeping wife and daughter. The nurses were lazy and didn’t want to bring us anything that we asked for during the postpartum stay. The bathrooms were dirty and moldy with rust on the shower head, the food brought to my wife was either raw or burnt. Overall, do not recommend giving birth here, go to the Loma Linda LD it’s much nicer with friendly staff. Much nicer and cleaner facilities.”

2024 (Yelp): “I can’t say my experience was good at this hospital because of a few reasons. There were maybe two nurses (out of the revolving door of nurses that came in and out of the room at night) who were compassionate and kind. There was only 1 nurse advocating for me and the fact that I did not want to take Pitocin. The doctor had an attitude with me because I did not want to take Pitocin. The way I was spoken to while I was in pain and uncomfortable was unprofessional. The way they handled my aftercare was dangerous. The first nurse walked me into the bathroom after delivery, and helped me. She did her job correctly. My second visit to the restroom after childbirth the new nurse told me “Everything you need is hanging on the bag behind the door, call me if you need anything” and left the room. I was still lightheaded, nauseous, dizzy and still heavily bleeding. I was in the bathroom hoping not to faint. The rest of the bathroom visits were by myself. The remainder of the time I had another nurse who made a comment whenever I wanted to put gloves on my baby (so he wouldn’t scratch his face) she told me not to, a comment about me wanting to pump my breastmilk out (because he had a tongue tie and wasn’t latching properly). She questioned everything I did. This is my 4th kid and her constant suggestions about what I should and shouldn’t do was out of pocket. And then to make matters worse they put my incorrect birth day on his birth certificate and I am now jumping through hurdles and hoops and paying fees to get this corrected. Even though I brought it up to the hospital the very next day and they said they would fix it, they did not. And yes, I doubled checked the forms I filled out, I filled it out correctly, it was an error on the hospital. This hospital made me feel like I was just a number and not a person. The aftermath of these events affected me greatly and put so much stress on me that I struggled throughout my postpartum journey. I really hope these issues are addressed and no one ever has to deal with what I had to deal with. I wish I could say I had a great experience as child birth itself can be painful and complicated but with the right staff and proper care you can walk out of a hospital feeling grateful for your team and their efforts to make your experience as comfortable as possible. I did not get that and do not want anyone else to feel like I did, ever. Like I stated earlier, this is my 4th child and I have never had such an awful experience. Do better.”

2023 (FB): “I’ve delivered at Rancho Springs multiple times. Their service is OK, but to be honest their rooms and beds are trash. My bed was literally falling apart in my last delivery.”

2018 (Yelp): “The nurses do not communicate well. I was almost given the wrong meds in labor and delivery. My husband had to tell the nurse several times that wasn't the correct meds before she checked my charts. After we had our baby, I had amazing nurses until one of the nurses stuck her finger in my hour old baby’s mouth. No glove. The lactation nurse set a spoon down on the table next to me and then stuck it in my once again hours old baby’s mouth!! All this happened so fast I could not stop her. Hospitals are gross and you’re sticking your hands in his little mouth?! I was stuck after my C-section 8 times because the nurse couldn't get a vein! I still have bruises 1 month later. The nurse that looked over my baby took 3 personal phone calls and I could hear her talking about her kids’ doing chores. My biggest complaint is the nurse on my last night there. She acted too busy to care. She had 0 bedside manner! She came in to my room and told me about my little guy having jaundice and she implied it was because he didn't get enough nutrients. I'm a first-time mom and watching your tiny baby’s foot get squeezed is awful! I was crying and she basically told me that if I kept crying, they wouldn't let us go home. I was in pain from my C-Section and I was due for my pain meds and she told me it was my anxiety! Excuse me? I was just cut open yesterday. She told me I needed to do my 5 laps or I couldn't go home. Yet the day nurse wouldn't even let me up without her. Now night nurse wants me up doing 5 laps so I can go home?! My baby’s nurse had to give me my pain meds because I called for over an hour for pain meds and the other nurse was "busy". She hardly even came by because she was busy, and she mentioned that several times.
She just needs to work on her bedside manner.  Other than that, the day nurses were amazing”

2016 (Yelp): “There should be a shirt you receive when you check out that says "I survived Rancho Springs Emergency Room". This hospital needs to reevaluate their employees. The ultrasound technician had no clue how to complete an ultrasound on a pregnant woman. He had to call upstairs to labor and delivery to ask an OB to come down and assist him. Throughout my grueling 8 hour stay, I had three doctors who rotated in and out. Two of them never bothered to check on me. The only one that did check in on me, ordered the completely wrong blood work. I had to request to see one of the doctors through one of the nurses in order to get answers to my condition. As much as I enjoy gossip, listening to the doctors and nurses discuss, make fun of, and complain about every single patient and their conditions, got old very quickly. I guess Doctor/Patient confidentiality is pretty much out the window now a days. The icing on my stay was when an extremely intoxicated man got dropped off by the police and placed in the room next to me. While I was being ignored, I got to listen to every nurse and Doctor coddle him, bring him sandwiches and coffee, and chase him around the ER as he ran wild like an animal. I sure didn’t feel safe! Next time I have an emergency, and I suggest to everyone else, DO NOT COME HERE!”

2015 (Yelp): “Very disappointed with the care I'm receiving currently at Labor and Delivery. Our son was born this morning at 2:21am and our first nurse did a good job however most things I had to ask and never was truly given any direction. She at least was around though. At 7 am the nurses changed and I still have yet to even be introduced to "Judy" which is our ghost of a nurse with a horrible attitude. She has been in twice with no badge and just complains about how much work she has to do!!! I work in the medical field for the top Orthopedic surgeon in San Diego and I am disgusted with the treatment I have gotten. I could go on and on but trust me I will make sure someone else knows about the horrible treatment. I haven't been asked once how my son or me are doing!!!! This is crazy and I would be embarrassed to work here!!”
